New 2nd Hour Fall Term.  Join us for 2nd Hour @ MAC.  New classes: “Prayers of the OT’ (Arnold Yee), “Global Awareness” (Justin Lim), and “The Way Out: Survey into Exodus” (Dennis Kwok/P. Jonathan).  

 

Choir practice resumes Sunday, 10/5 at 12:30 MAC 100.  If you are interested in joining, please contact Wilma at wilmayun@gmail.com.  Also, if you are interested in singing for Christmas, please also let Wilma know.

 

Vision Health Day:  Vision Health Seminars and Health Screenings will be held at the church on Saturday, October 4 from 9:30am – 5:00pm.  To register, please call (415) 677-2473.  40 volunteers are needed,  please contact Pastor Chan (woonchan@sbcglobal.net) if you are willing to help.

 

Restore Marriage, Protect Children:  Vote Yes on Prop 8 (state constitutional amendment to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman) on Nov. 4, 2008 California Election.  Please note the following related events:

 

1. Prayer Rally today from 3:00-5:00pm and Revival Rally at 7:00 – 9:00pm at Hyatt Regency Hotel, San Francisco Airport.

 

2.  Outreach Rally on Sunday, Oct. 12 from 2:30-4:00pm at Portsmouth Square, San Francisco Chinatown.

 

3.  Open Air Rally on Sunday, Oct. 19 from 3:00-5:00pm at Veterans Memorial Park, 21267 Stevens Creek Blvd., Cupertino, CA .  Please see the poster for more details.

 

Get Baptized:  Interested in getting baptized and/or becoming an SFCAC member?  Contact Pastor Jonathan, jylau1979@yahoo.com or Justin Lim, justinlim@aol.com.  Baptism will be on November 16, 2008 and Welcoming of New Members on November 23, 2008.  Applications due October 5, 2008.

 

Rebel Without A Cause:  Christopher Yuan (Moody Bible Institute) will be here on Oct. 11-12.   Rescued by God from sexual brokenness and drugs, Mr. Yuan will conduct a workshop on Sat. Oct. 11 on "How to Reach Your Homosexual Friends" from 4-8pm and will give an evangelistic message on Sunday, Oct. 12 during English and Noon Cantonese worship. 

 

Joint Prayer Meeting:  The October’s Joint Prayer Meeting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 8:00pm.  The Macau Exposure Trip team members will lead singspiration and share to us about their Macau ministry.

 

Medical Screenings:  Blood pressure and blood glucose screening will be held today at 12:45pm at the church patio, located outside the sanctuary lobby.  All are welcome!

Youth Parents Orientation!  The Youth Ministry invites all parents of middle school and high school students to a special luncheon on Sunday, Oct. 19 from 12:45pm to 3pm at the Agape Center.
